Lisa's Yoga Journey

Yoga has been a significant part of my life for over 15 years. Like many, I came to Yoga out of curiosity, but have since learned that Yoga can - and does - mean so much more.

I grew up with a passion for dance. From 17 years of dance training, to a decade of teaching, movement and athleticism was always a focus of my interests. Fortune placed a Yoga class after my rigorous step class; curiosity drove me to try it out; and quickly I saw improvements in strength, agility, and mental focus.

I continued on out of passion, but it’s safe to say that Yoga has changed my life.

Due to a car accident, I was forced to rehabilitate a cervical spine fusion. Not only did this force me to re-evaluate my life and its priorities, but it reinforced the importance of Yoga in my life. Yoga, Pilates, and meditation have helped to heal my body and spirit, and that’s a gift I’m honoured to share with you. It is why I developed the “Accept Yourself” mantra.

My training has included the practice of Ashtanga, Bikram, Iyengar, Moksha, Pilates, and Mindfulness Meditation yoga. I have received Moksha Yoga training in Kerala, India; I have been certified in Yoga4Kids, pre-and-post-natal Yoga, Mindfulness Meditation, and Stott Pilates.

This is my journey and I would be honoured for you to join me on the path to health, wellness, and peace.
